Fitch Group is currently seeking a US-based Senior Data Privacy Assistant based out of our New York or Chicago office to join the Fitch Group Data Privacy Office.
The Group Data Privacy Office is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data privacy policies, procedures, and initiatives across all departments and subsidiaries of the organization. This dynamic team ensures compliance with global data protection regulations and fosters a culture of privacy and data protection awareness.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Execute tasks and projects regarding the vendor/supplier management process for Data Privacy Assessments including privacy due diligence, transfer impact assessments (TIA), Data Processing Addendum and other contract reviews
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of data privacy documentation, including data processing activities inventories, data mapping, and records of processing activities (RoPA)
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide guidance and support on data privacy matters related to new projects, initiatives, and technologies and assist in review of data protection impact assessments (DPIA)
- Review and advise on vendor contract language and Data Privacy Addendums related to personal data privacy processing and protection
- Aid in responding to data subject requests, inquiries, and incidents in a timely and efficient manner
- Support the Group Data Privacy Office members in various ad-hoc tasks and projects related to data privacy and compliance.
What You Need to Have:
- Experience or education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in pre-Law, Business, Information Technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with global data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, PIPL, and other global privacy frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Experience or education equivalent to a master's degree in Law, Business, Information Technology or a related field
- Holding recognized and accredited privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/M or OneTrust privacy certifications
- Any additional language skills other than English
- Experience with Data Privacy Compliance Tools
- Experience with automating processes
- Experience with assessing Data Privacy transmission and sto
