JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Agricultural Sciences, Farm Services Department seeks to hire an individual to fill a part-time SEASONAL position to work the farming season.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with everyday farming activities using various farming equipment such as tractors, manure spreaders, and mowers on University farms.
  • Assist with hay and straw harvest. Assist with field harvest operations.
  • Assist with Snider Agricultural Arena maintenance and event staging requirements.
  • Assist with general maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
  • Perform clean-up duties in and around farm buildings and fields as needed.
  • Tolerance to various environmental conditions is required.

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid U.S. driver`s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred, but is not a requirement.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, (Mid May – Thanksgiving (up to 28 weeks).  Some overtime and weekend work possible.
