Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is looking for an Applications Engineering Associate (Internship Opportunity)

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

      • Assist the Group Managers, Proposal Leads and Performance Engineers with short term and long-term work assignments and achieve the required results in a timely fashion and with high quality. Tasks may include
        • Gas turbine and combined cycle performance calculations.
        • Proposal document coordination and assembly of the final proposal packages.
        • Process improvements.
        • Data base support
        • Other duties as may be required from time to time by the company.
      • It is expected that the intern can work on the assigned tasks independently and with minimum supervision.
      • Good communication and networking with the team is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, & Education

 

  • Education and/or Experience: Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) at a four-year college or university; studying Engineering Technology or other technical degrees.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in a standardized situation. Logically summarize inspection and work scope information for on-going projects.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software and Word Processing software.
