JOB DESCRIPTION

The Staff Therapist is responsible for the performance of all therapeutic respiratory care procedures for patients of all age populations, human resources management and quality control to insure the continued achievement of the patient care philosophy of Hamilton Medical Center.

 

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Associate of Science in Respiratory Technology. 

Licensure: BLS CPR required.  Respiratory Care Professional license issued by the State of Georgia.  RRT credential required.  If new graduate, RRT credential must be obtained within 6 months of initial hire date. CPFT preferred, but not required. 

Experience:  Graduate from AMA school of Respiratory Therapy

Skills:  Adult and general familiarity with routine respiratory therapy.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Delivers Respiratory Care in a clinic environment with possible exposure to contagious diseases.

 

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT

Moderate amount of walking with some stooping, bending, and exertion.  Some mental stress associated with decision-making when/if in a charge position.
