Job Description
The HR/Payroll Specialist has a minimum of 2 years experience processing in-house payroll from start to finish. Is an organized self-starter, problem-solver, team player with an attention to detail, and excellent written/verbal communication skills. Has exceptional mathematical literacy, experience working with an HRIS, & they are proficient with spreadsheets. Hourly Pay Range Minimum $25. Hourly Pay Range Maximum $27.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of experience processing Payroll
- Strong knowledge base in regards to Payroll functions (accurate preparation, payroll processing, reconciliation, auditing, processing adjustments, making historical edits, processing instant checks & final pay, payroll reporting, etc.).
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's Driving Standards and Personal Vehicle Use policy.
- Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe, email, internet, etc.) and experience with various Human Resources Systems (UltiPro/UKG, ADP, etc.). Typing 40 WPM, 8,000 KSPH (alpha-numeric), 10,000 KSPH (10-key).
- Strong mathematical competency.
- Proficient in CA Wage & Hour Laws.
- Ability to obtain knowledge of and comply with all Federal, individual State, & Local Labor, Employment, & Wage and Hour Laws.
