SUMMARY:

Justrite Safety Group company is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead our procurement and planning function, and drive strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing / improving customer service levels, supplier relationships, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall efficiency of our supply chain. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record of implementing innovative supply chain strategies to achieve business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accountable for Business Unit OTD and service levels to provide world class customer service.
  • Oversee planning for business unit including ensuring accurate stock positions and correct inventory levels
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals, market trends, and industry best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the identification, evaluation, and selection of strategic suppliers, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings, mitigate risks, and drive value for the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive innovation within the supply chain through supplier-driven initiatives, technology adoption, and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement robust supplier performance measurement systems, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards, to monitor and improve supplier performance.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial, and operational risks, through effective risk management strategies and contingency planning.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, global economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting sourcing decisions, and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Drive sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives, promoting environmentally responsible and socially conscious procurement practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management on supply chain performance, cost savings achievements, and strategic initiatives.
