Core Competencies:

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is a senior, technical individual contributor position within the IT Infrastructure Engineering Team, responsible for designing, implementing and supporting a wide range of enterprise technologies utilized across the firm.  This position will also perform duties around escalated Level 3 support for end users, as well as ensure operational schedules are in place and executed effectively.

Core Responsibilities:

• Senior Engineer for multiple internal platforms supporting the Harris Williams M365 and digital workplace technology experience, including Exchange / EOP, Active Directory / Entra, M365, Office, Teams, Azure and related MS technologies.

• Continuous development of the Microsoft core platform and services, including identifying, evaluating, and deploying new platform capabilities, processes, and solutions to meet identified requirements.

• Identity Management:  Design, implement, configure, support and monitor enterprise identity platforms and related services.  Identify opportunities to optimize processes, automate provisioning, manage accounts/permissions and strategize the future state for identity management. 

• Secure Authentication:  Manage HW’s secure authentication capabilities including conditional access, multifactor authentication, single sign on and internal credential management. 

• Operational Excellence:  Ensure in scope technologies have appropriate operational playbooks and schedules defined, and provide ongoing system administration, support and issue resolution.  Configure / perform system and activity monitoring to ensure the ongoing health and security of HW systems. Perform patching as needed.

• Lead project-level initiatives related to in scope platforms (migrations, upgrades, simplifications) leveraging structured planning and delivery methodologies.  Partner with internal / external teams on projects as needed.

• Provides escalated support for Tier 3 level resolution in partnership with the HW User Experience team, internal teams and vendors as needed.

• Manages global Office 365 settings, acts as an administrator for Microsoft Teams, and assists other Office 365 product administrators as needed (SharePoint, Exchange Online, etc.).

• Monitor Harris Williams environment for security concerns/findings and raise concerns with the Security Team (and other partner teams) as needed.

• Define key metrics regarding IT infrastructure health, performance and availability and prepare/deliver as part of broader KPI set reported on regular schedule. 

Job Specific Competencies, Education & Experience:
 

• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting and supporting enterprise M365 deployments and Office suites.
