Reporting to the Business Officer, the Senior Director, Business Operations is a key OPH leadership role responsible for overseeing critical operational functions including Operations Management, Portfolio Management, Corporate Marketing, Governance, HR Operations, and Organizational Development. This position drives strategic initiatives and operational excellence across these domains to support company objectives and promote organizational effectiveness.
The Senior Director, Business Operations role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop and cultivate relationships across functions. The role will work to support effective and efficient execution of company strategy while seeking innovative opportunities that will help usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company. At its core, Business Operations works to enable colleagues across the OPH enterprise to conduct their work effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be a player-coach, rolling up their sleeves to get work done while also providing guidance, leadership, and support to direct reports (functional area leads); and will have experience in small-to-midsize digital health and/or med-tech companies.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Lead Operations Management – proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions to drive greater productivity, reduce costs, and make OPH more agile
- Oversee Portfolio Management – including the Portfolio Management Committee and monthly Portfolio Management report
- Provide managerial leadership – with responsibility for such functions as Corporate Marketing, Governance, HR Operations, and Organizational Development
- Serve as a member of the Enterprise Operations Leadership Team, providing insights and recommendations on operational matters
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to enhance organizational performance
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
This role can be remote or based in either the Princeton, NJ or Rockville, MD offices. Availability during U.S. Eastern time zone business hours is mandatory. Up to 25% of travel is required based upon business needs regardless of where the role is located.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business, healthcare, or related field
- 12+ years experience in digital health, med-tech, or related healthcare industries
- Exceptional leadership and people management abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships and influence (without authority) stakeholders across the organization
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with an ability to think beyond the status quo or what is an accepted way of working
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to creatively identify and implement solutions
- Proven track record of leading large-scale organizational initiatives and change management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) in operations management, business, healthcare, or related field
- Experience working globally, specifically with colleagues in Japan, the U.S., and Europe.
- 5+ years’ experience working in 3rd party collaborations (e.g., alliances)
