Position Overview:


As a Manager, Regional Accounts you’re a key member of the Enterprise & Strategy Marketing Team, reporting to the Director, Regional Accounts.     You will contribute to the success of Ball by driving revenue growth and achievement of KPIs through cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement, and proactive resource management within assigned portfolio of contracted accounts.   

 

Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include: 

 

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute strategic plans to grow sales within assigned accounts, leveraging market insights and customer relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Negotiation Proficiency: Negotiate settlements for large claims (e.g., quality disputes, obsolete inventory) and customer contracts/renewals/amendments.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to track performance metrics, monitor progress against targets, and identify areas for improvement or adjustment.
  • Product Knowledge and Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the company's portfolio of offerings to effectively communicate value propositions and address customer needs.
  • Market Analysis and Intelligence: Funnel market intel, including industry trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities, to internal strategy and business development teams to inform sales strategies and tactics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as supply chain, quality, AR, finance, and marketing to coordinate efforts and deliver seamless customer experiences from inquiry to delivery.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with contracted customers, serving as a trusted advisor and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the commercial function, contributing to the company's growth and success while improving overall customer experience.
  • Trade Accounts Receivable Monitoring: Monitor trade accounts receivable for key accounts, ensuring timely payments and addressing any issues or discrepancies to maintain healthy financial relationships.
  • Inventory Management Support: Assist in resolving slow-moving and obsolete inventory issues with key accounts, implementing strategies to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Proactive Resource Management: Anticipate challenges and opportunities, such as shortages, downtime, new product configurations, and dynamic customer needs to proactively manage internal resources to drive prioritization and maximized results.

 

Minimum Education & Experiences: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preference towards a Master’s degree in Business Administration. 
  • 5 years of job-related experience (e.g. finance, negotiation, account management/planning). 
  • 2 years of account ownership.
    • Demonstrated skills in balancing  customer vs. company objectives using limited resources
  • Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office:  including Outlook, PowerPoint, advanced  Excel skills. 
  • Analysis Skills: Problem solving, including analysing and interpreting data to make recommendations. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to bring solutions 
  • Organization and Prioritization Skills: Effective prioritization of tasks when faced with high workload
  • Working Knowledge of: 
    • Sales and marketing principles, practices, and procedures 
    • Market economics

 

Compensation & Benefits

 

  • The preferred location for this role is our Westminster, CO campus; but we will consider a REMOTE candidate, dependent on experience, qualifications and willingness to engage in regular travel to Colorado. Travel (30-40%)  and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations will be required. If based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for th
