The Job:  

As a Sr. Product Manager you’ll be part of our Outdoor team working as a hybrid employee. Product Management is responsible for the strategic direction and action of an assigned portfolio. This includes maintenance of existing products throughout their lifecycles, as well as ownership of critical elements of relevant NPD, product roadmap, feature definition, validation, and commercialization. They partner with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Operations, Sales, Channel, Legal, Finance, and Category teams) to ensure that all products meet customer and business needs and align back to the overall brand and category strategy. The Product Management collaborates with all supporting functions to design and build products that service the needs of our end-users, align with relevant CTQ’s and strategic initiatives, and create a competitive advantage in the marketplace You’ll get to:  

  • Evaluate and develop total sales and product positioning of various replacement Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) parts and accessories and will be responsible for managing the profit and loss of OPE parts and accessory product categories. Partner with others across the organization including product managers, brand marketing, channel marketing, category management, sales, IT, engineering and customer service.

  • Manage the complete product lifecycle process, alongside the Product Management team from concept to delivery.

  • Assist in market functions relating to assigned product lines as well as general departmental Functions. 

  • Driving and developing new products while overseeing and managing quality issues, developing sales and promotion programs.  

  • Developing and implementing relevant point-of-purchase displays, materials and web content; benchmark competitors and perform competitive pricing analysis.

  • Responsible for development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of pricing, gross margins, collateral materials & point-of-purchase.

  • Maintain an awareness of trends in the industry and related industries and develop a deep understanding of the end user to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches.

  • Supporting and preparing for customer meetings, presentations and line reviews. 

  • Assist in leading cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives, as well as act as the point of contact for manufacturing, purchasing, sales, quality and engineering.

  • Validation of Product CTQs, Testing & Claims with End Users

The Person:

  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience.

  • Must have product development process experience from market analysis through ideation to development and commercialization.

  • Experience using various computer applications including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other applications in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Role is Hybrid with 3 days per week in Office.
