About the role

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5 pm   Salary: $21.75/hr   Responsible for daily front desk operations at a community behavioral health center and clinic, providing administrative and clinical support to medical team. Ensures high-quality customer service to clients and visitors to the clinic and coordinates prescribers' schedules.
  • Greets and directs visitors to the clinic.
  • Answers high volume of phone calls, responds to client and caller inquiries; provides high quality customer service.
  • Serves as a resource for clients, families, and outside agencies requesting information.
  • Checks clients in and out for appointments with prescribers or nursing staff.
  • Collects and tracks co-pays, as applicable, checks and adds pinned alerts in the Electronic Health Record system (EHR).
  • Schedules, confirms, blocks, and coordinates appointments and meetings with clinic  prescribers, and provides scheduling support for nursing-led groups
  • Updates and uploads client documentation in designated system.
  • Sends group and appointment reminders, distributes Zoom links, and sets up Computers on Wheels (COWs) as needed to support virtual and in-person services.
  • Assists with intake paperwork and information gathering.
  • Assists with insurance verification, as directed.
  • Screens and coordinates incoming communications, prioritizing and responding or forwarding as appropriate; documents interactions and provides timely updates to the supervisor as needed.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related administrative experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong computer proficiency, including knowledge of general computer applications and office equipment
  • Exceptional customer service skills with effective verbal and written communication
  • Solid understanding of general office practices and adm
