The Sr. Director, Strategy will lead overall business unit strategic analysis and planning. This includes responsibility for prioritizing strategy execution imperatives across our innovation and evidence pipelines as well commercial initiatives. We are looking for a hands-on leader who will play a central role interfacing with business unit and enterprise executives, leading high-visibility strategic initiatives and architecting executive communications.
How you will make an impact:
Lead the TMTT Strategy team with overall responsibility of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and driving continuous improvement. Develop robust talent development and succession planning for the function.
Lead the annual strategic planning process to ensure that the TMTT strategy and execution priorities are clear, robust and aligned with Edwards business objectives. This will require fostering a culture of accountability, cooperation and teamwork, including partnership with executive management as well as functional and regional partners.
Develop performance metrics, consistent with our execution priorities, that drive TMTT results. Track organizational performance against these metrics and gain executive focus where necessary to ensure successful execution.
Identify and execute highly complex strategic assessments to solve business issues in alignment with BU strategy.
Partner with the Corporate Vice President (CVP) and Leadership Team on strategic communications and management processes. Develop strategic communications for a variety of executive audiences including the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and investment community.
Oversee new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner.
International and domestic travel up to 20%, including attendance at major medical congresses
What you will need (required):
Bachelor’s degree. An MBA or other relevant graduate degree is preferred.
Demonstrated track record in people management
Minimum of 12 years of experience in strategy and/or the medical device, pharmaceutical or consulting industries.
Depth of expertise in one, and preferably multiple, business disciplines including strategy, clinical affairs, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, marketing, finance, supply chain, etc.

Ability to provide leadership and direction to large cross-functional teams to successfully implement global enterprise systems and related solutions
Professional maturity and influence management skills with the ability to foster and develop effective internal and external business relationships.
