Summary

The Food & Beverage Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet and catering operations, including event bar management. This role leads banquet captains, catering staff, and bartenders, ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency. The Food & Beverage Lead also manages catering and bar inventory, responds to client and strategist inquiries, and ensures all event details are executed according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

What You'll Do

Banquet & Catering Operations

  • Plan and execute multiple banquet functions simultaneously with attention to detail and timing.
  • Lead and support banquet captains & catering staff during event setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Set up banquet serving areas in accordance with event specifications and service standards.
  • Maintain and manage catering inventory, including chafers, serving utensils, and décor.
  • Ensure all catering equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored.
  • Gather, review, and deliver BEOs to relevant staff to ensure accurate event execution.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to catering inquiries from clients and internal event strategists. Provide recommendations and solutions to meet client needs and enhance guest satisfaction.


Event Bar Operations

  • Oversee all aspects of event bar operations, including setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Schedule bartenders based on event needs.
  • Order and manage bar supplies, including beverages, garnishes, glassware, and disposables.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
  • Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service policies and local regulations.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS).
  • Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
