Do you want to lead a Digital engineering team for a sector priority win? If so, we need you to build, develop, and establish an end to end digital thread for our missions. You will be responsible for identifying resource needs (people, tools, areas, support services) and working with sector and program stakeholders to address these needs across the breadth of a large program execution.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing a roadmap from existing tools, processes, and efforts towards a program specific implementation of optimized engineering and programmatic processes
  • Perform analysis-of-alternatives to lead to a cohesive program solution
  • Lead a team to implement the roadmap, hand in hand with program management and technical leads
  • Document the non-recurring efforts to enable a digital landscape and working with program team to deliver the system
  • Educate leads, customers, and engineers on the program’s digital vision, and how it will enable lower recurring engineering in long term
  • Develop products that align with agile development as well as delivery of traditional aerospace engineering, software and programmatic products while minimizing recurring cost

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (Technical Field preferred) with 14 years’ experience (or 12 years of experience w/ a Masters, or 9 years w/ a PhD).  Experience can be considered in lieu of degree Must have U.S. Citizenship with active or current TS/SCI Clearance at time of application
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with developing and presenting briefing slides to senior leaders and executive level personnel
  • Ability to work as part of a distributed multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to capture core concepts and instructional needs from a large amount of technical data (ground and space hardware) and communicate technical concepts to an audience of non-subject matter experts with varying levels of domain experience
  • Be self-directed and able to envision the end state of the product and take initiative to drive product development to closure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation
  • Ability to architect with MBSE and tie analysis products to model behavior
  • Understanding of system delivery lifecycle, CDRLs, and the interplay between various national security customers and products
  • Knowledge of programmatic financial deliveries as an IPT lead, cam,  or deputy PM, with delivering EVMS  data or participating in IPRs, PMRs, or IBRs
  • Experience in scripting languages and modeling tools (e.g. Python, STOL, VBA, STK, etc)
