Warehouse Lead

Overview

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations, including ensuring efficient workflows, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role involves optimizing processes and ensuring the accurate and timely handling of inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of products to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
• Coordinate and monitor the execution of order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure that warehouse operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.
• Manage inventory control processes, including stock counts, adjustments, and reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement and other departments to ensure adequate stock.
• Implement and maintain efficient inventory storage and retrieval systems.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency improvements within the warehouse.
• Analyze operational metrics and performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure products are handled and stored properly to maintain quality and prevent damage.
• Oversee quality control processes and address any issues related to order accuracy or product quality.
• Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including inventory levels, order processing, and staff performance.
• Prepare and submit reports on key performance indicators, operational metrics, and inventory status.
• Address and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment, shipping discrepancies, or product quality.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders to meet service level agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Effective communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required.
• Capable of standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
