Job requirements

• Team is using several technology solutions to manage various finance business processes in accounts payable, procurement, accounts receivable, fixed assets, books and records as well as budgeting & forecasting. One of the key applications used for the core ERP is SAP S/4 Hana on premise version 2023 hosted on AWS public cloud. Along with this, Finance also uses complementary software that includes Vertex, OpenText, Blackline, Concur, etc.
• This role manages all of SAP and related Infrastructure to ensure systems are running & performing well with the Infrastructure strategy aligned to Finance and business goals. In addition to routine maintenance, the position ensures operating systems, databases and applications are upgraded on an ongoing basis to be on the latest supported versions.

ResponsibilitiesThe various responsibilities include:
• Ensuring SAP and all other related infrastructure are maintained to meet SLA’s for performance, utilization, availability, etc
• Monitor and manage the infrastructure and systems during critical periods like month closing, quarterly closing, annual closing, peak periods like budget season, etc to ensure no disruptions to availability of systems
• Managing the in-house basis support team as well as the third party managed service provider supporting the SAP infrastructure in AWS to ensure routine business as usual activities (backups, alerts management, patching, etc) are performed to keep good health of systems
• Coordinating and communicating with application teams and business stakeholders for scheduled maintenance downtimes Coordinate and perform annual disaster recovery test for SAP systems
• Manage cutover plans, resources and tasks for scheduled maintenance activities and system upgrades
• Developing relationships and collaborating with applications teams, and ensuring roadmaps and resources are lined up and aligned
• Managing the contractual arrangements with managed services partners for support of SAP systems and infrastructure
• Ensuring respective constraints and dependencies for systems are well understood, communicated and managed
• Troubleshooting and issue resolution to ensure the systems availability
• Ensuring appropriate ways of working (plan, meetings, comms etc) are in place to support collaboration with application teams and business stakeholders
• Develop and manage a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress of large initiatives like application upgrades.
• Provide status updates to management and stakeholders
• Work closely with various technology teams like cloud engineering, Information security, architects, engineering teams and devOps team members for various Infrastructure related tasks.
