Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, Indiana's first community mental health center, provides comprehensive care for emotional and behavioral problems, including severe mental illness and substance abuse. The Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center offers both inpatient and outpatient services, including several outreach centers as well as clinic- and community-based services.

About School-Based Services
The School‑Based Services team provides behavioral health support directly within partnered schools, offering accessible, trauma‑informed care to students who may be struggling with mental health, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Our mission is to meet students where they are, reduce barriers to care, and collaborate with educators and families to support academic success, emotional well‑being, and long‑term stability.As part of Eskenazi Health’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), our team is committed to delivering integrated, evidence-based treatment rooted in the Recovery Model.
Where You Fit In
As a Licensed Clinician – School-Based (CCBHC), you will provide individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions using evidence‑based practices (EBPs) with fidelity to treatment models. You will manage a caseload of students, identify their therapeutic and case management needs, and work closely with school staff, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate the right supports at the right time.What To Expect
A key aspect of this role includes building strong relationships with students, families, educators, and clinical partners. You will conduct assessments, create treatment plans, deliver therapy within the school environment, and intervene during times of crisis. Your work ensures students have personalized, strengths‑based care that promotes their academic, social, and emotional well‑being.You will also support ongoing care coordination, skill development, and safety planning while maintaining adherence to CCBHC requirements.
Am I Qualified?
Education & Licensure
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health or human services field meeting Indiana licensure requirements for:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Active and unencumbered Indiana clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC)
Additional Requirements
- Valid Indiana driver’s license meeting Eskenazi Health driving policy requirements

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Embraces, understands, and operates under the Recovery Model, including AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and the spirit of motivational interviewing
- Adheres to the regulatory requirements for CCBHC regarding client treatment, including crisis prevention planning and crisis safety planning
- Utilizing advanced certifications and skills in EBPs, delivers treatment to fidelity of therapeutic interventions and treatment models specific to the population served.
- Prepares clinical treatment plans and completes biopsychosocial evaluation (“BPSE”), integrating information gathered by the team and developing the integrated diagnostic summary based upon the BPSE and in consultation with the client, family, treatment team.
