Job Summary:

The Lead Service Technician will provide leadership and technical support to assigned personnel and contractors. They will aid management in creating and maintaining a safe work environment, managing cost, and delivering all service-related activities on time to customer need dates. The lead position will be responsible for performing as a working member of the team, providing additional oversight to ensure work is performed within budgeted time and within the guidelines of all quality standards.

The technical lead  must have previous experience repairing, servicing, or building complex equipment and tooling assemblies.  The ability to read and understand engineering drawings, bills of material, and hydraulic schematics. The ability to operate hand tools and basic machine tools and must understand standard assembly practices. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and some basic electronics is a plus) additional mechanical or technical schooling (trade or college; MET or Mechanical Technician) is strongly preferred. Provide a level of support and service which ensures the optimum customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the service team ensuring efficient and effective operations at service station in Mason, Ohio. Role has the potential to expand beyond the Mason site.
• Evaluate team performance regularly, providing feedback to employees and management.
• Provide daily leadership, guidance, mentoring and training to direct reports.
• Analytical troubleshooting, repair, and testing of tools & equipment at the company’s service station in Mason, Ohio.
• Identify technical problems and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Drawing up findings or test reports regarding the condition of tools & equipment.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance work according to processes, guidelines and safety regulations.
• Responsible for timely completion of recertification / repair orders and provide occasional on-site project support.
• Provide timely reports of engine stand maintenance evaluation for estimating and quoting.
• Report actual time and materials for invoicing.
• Define, standardize, and document work scope for repeatability, training, and direction.
• Maintain material inventory, perform timely system transactions, conduct annual and cycle counts.
• Adherence to processes, guidelines, safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
• Independent execution of service assignments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years maintenance or service and 2 years of leadership experience preferred (technical experience required).
• Computer literacy includes Microsoft Excel and Power point.
• Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and accuracy.
