The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of ‘Senior Project Engineer’ – ‘Ανώτερος/η Μηχανικός Έργων’, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Chief Mining Engineer of the Technical Services department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

·      Initiating projects, preparing budget estimates, and justifying projects for AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) submission.

·      Lead and manage engineering activities across multiple operational areas

·      Managing the project lifecycle from scoping and detailed design to construction, commissioning, and handover.

·      Providing engineering expertise, including guidance on standards, procedures, equipment strategies, condition monitoring, and failure analysis.

·      Supervising contractors and inspecting project work to ensure adherence to quality standards.

·      Maintaining cost control throughout all project phases and ensuring successful delivery.

·      Maintaining a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, JSAs, investigations, and enforcing site procedures and safety protocols.

·      Ensure proper Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes are implemented across all engineering disciplines.

Requirements:

·      Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related discipline).

·      Project management certification (desirable).

·      5+ years of experience in engineering project management.

·      Excellent proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD 2D, and other engineering software.

·      Basic knowledge of Deswik (preferred).

·      Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

·      Strong knowledge of open pit and underground mining operations.

·      Extensive knowledge of mining operations in both surface and underground activities.

·      Proven experience in leadership, team management, and handling multiple projects, with strong skills in scheduling, cost control, and risk management.

·      Ability to manage projects, time, and priorities with flexibility and critical thinking.

·      Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.

·      Strong technical and leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach.

·      Capability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with solid communication skills.

·      Driving License.
