Job Description
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, The HR Generalist is focused with all things “people”; from on-boarding the best people, to supporting individuals and people leaders in their efforts to be their best and build optimal performing teams. This role is responsible for supporting progressive, dynamic full-cycle Human Resource functions. This support includes collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team, talent & leadership development, employee relations, recognition & retention programs, as well as, tactical and consultative support to business unit line managers.
In this role, you will support efforts to improve processes, drive efficiencies, collaborate with and advise leaders on talent decisions, as well as, analyse qualitative and quantitative people data to identify strengths and opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation to leaders regarding talent development, employee engagement, performance management, change management and team effectiveness.
- As part of a Global organization ensure all HR policies and initiatives take into consideration the global nuances and regional sensitivities.
- Oversee and effective management of employee relations, concerns, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with employment and legal paperwork, disclosures, required Enterprise training, etc.
- Communicate, interpret, and enforce company policies. Partners with managers to provide guidance on personnel policies and employment law
- Coordinate and execute leadership training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, inclusion & diversity, safety, and sexual harassment.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
- Develop and maintain HR project calendar and ensure stakeholders are aware of projects and deadlines.
- Support the People Strategy Team with various special projects
- Partner with HR Executive Director & Finance to maintain compensation function for AGS globally, including developing compensation philosophy and process, conducting compensation market analysis and job description drafting and review
- Make strategic recommendations related to compensation structure for internal and client facing roles and positions, in partnership with business leadership
- Conduct internal audits related to EEO compliance. Escalate concerns to appropriate leadership and legal with recommendations to improve processes as needed.
- Manage compliance and reporting requests from current and potential customers including current clients and local governments
- Work in conjunction with HRIS Administrator to update and maintain HR dashboards.
- Collaborate with our Talent Development and Talent Management teams to implement and execute development and training initiatives.
- Advise and recommend solutions to people leaders regarding employee development, compensation, and promotion activities.
