The Role at a Glance

Lincoln National Corporation seeks multiple positions for Sr Analyst, Application Development in Radnor, PA. DUTIES: Design, build, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) tools and data stores as part of Agile/Scrum development team for the Lincoln life insurance unit. Architect, implement and support big data initiatives for the enterprise (using AWS, Informatica and Python to further these objectives). Lead other developers, business systems analysts and quality analysts on project led efforts to add new data sources to the LifeIQ environment. Liaise with internal Lincoln business partners on requirements, design, testing, and production topics to create solution proposals and develop code. Perform technical tasks including estimating, analysis, technical requirements, design, construction and unit & integration testing following SDLC. Assist Analytical Teams with the design and implementation of Data solutions and systems, including integration with Operational Datastores and Data Warehouses, both on-Premise and in the Cloud. Develop, enhance, and support Informatica workflows and processes using Informatica Power Center for the extraction and transformation of data in both UNIX/Oracle and Windows/MS SQL Server database environments.
 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Computer Science, Information Systems Technologies, Electronics Engineering or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in the insurance industry performing ETL application development in support of maintaining and enhancing large data stores of insured individual files. Experience must include the following:

  • 5 Years: Utilizing Structured Query Language optimization on platforms Redshift, Oracle or Postgres in order to build and manage large scale data warehouses that store policy administration systems, claims, reinsurance, underwriting, commission, and general ledger.
  • 5 Years: Utilizing Informatica PowerCenter to efficiently load and extract data to/from the large-scale data warehouses and manage the data in the data warehouses. 
  • 3 Years: Utilizing programming language Python to program and develop software to manage and make changes in the data warehouse.

The pay range for this position is $146,078 - $157,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentiv
