Job Title:  Senior Technical Program Manager

Location: Cork, Ireland. Hybrid Role

Role Overview: 

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing complex, high-impact programs spanning multiple engineering and product teams. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture to ensure programs are well scoped, resourced, and executed to meet business objectives.

This role requires a proactive leader with strong technical acumen, organizational finesse, and a passion for operational excellence. 

Role Responsibilities: 

Program Leadership:

Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale programs across multiple agile scrum teams. 

Manage dependencies, timelines, and deliverables across cross-functional initiatives 

Stakeholder Management: 

Serve as the central point of contact for stakeholders, providing transparency into project status, risks, and timelines. 

Facilitate alignment between Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Customer teams. 

Delivery Governance: 

Contribute to the development and ongoing evolution of the Delivery function. 

Define and implement delivery processes, frameworks, and best practices across the program lifecycle. 

Metrics and Reporting: 

Establish and track delivery KPIs (e.g., velocity, cycle time, predictability) to drive continuous improvement. 

Provide regular updates and insights to executive leadership and program sponsors. 

Team Enablement: 

Coach and mentor team members to drive adoption of agile principles and program-level coordination. 

Support scrum teams in resolving impediments and scaling agile practices. 

Risk and Change Management: 

Proactively identify program risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure timely issue resolution. 

Lead change management efforts to support new processes and organisational transformations. 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • 7+ years of experience in program or project management roles within technology-focused or professional services/consulting companies. 
  • Strong background in both Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile) and traditional Waterfall delivery environments. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple concurrent scrum teams and complex technical initiatives. 
  • Hands-on involvement in establishing or scaling a Delivery function, including tooling and process standardization. 
  • Experience defining and measuring delivery metrics to inform leadership and guide performance improvem
