About the role

<p><b>ING is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst</b></p><p>Tribe Credit Risk Management (CRM) is an enthusiastic and diverse team of highly qualified professionals. We are responsible for managing the credit risks in the lending portfolios of all segments in the ING NL Lending book amounting to EUR 160bn in total exposure. We do this by maintaining compliant and data driven policies, setting credit risk appetite, monitoring portfolios using business intelligence and developing predictive risk models. We closely cooperate with our business stakeholders to guide them to better business while pro-actively managing the associated credit risks.</p><p>Tribe CRM consists of a team of 76 experts, distributed across four chapters: Credit Risk Analytics, Credit Risk Management Business Banking/Private Banking &amp; Wealth Management, Credit Risk Management Private Individuals and Regional Restructuring Unit. Good credit risk data is at the core of all our activities, in which we combine credit risk and business expertise with data driven analyses. We use various business intelligence solutions and technologies to explore, analyse and exploit data. We keep up-to-date on the latest trends relevant to us in areas like Credit Risk regulations, Data Management, and Machine Learning. We adopt an agile way of working and believe that empowerment is crucial for our team to be successful.</p><p>For the Credit Risk Portfolio Management team in the Credit Risk Analytics chapter, we are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst with a passion for data driven analysis and exploring new data visualization technologies, to take a leading role in bringing credit risk management to the next level. Credit Risk Portfolio Management is the team that provides expertise on credit risk analysis, data management, credit risk regulations and loan loss provisioning (IFRS9). The position offers excellent opportunities to broaden your credit risk management and data analytics competencies, while working on your soft skills by dealing with our many external and internal stakeholders.</p><p><b>What does a Credit Risk Analyst at ING do?</b></p><p>As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will work on a wide variety of topics with a focus on maintaining the quality of the Consumer Lending portfolios. Your role will be to:</p><ul><li>Perform data driven credit risk analyses to support the setting and monitoring of risk policies and Key Performance Indicators, Risk Appetite (RAS), and Risk Costs and Capital forecasts;</li><li>Develop and execute on the CRM Business Intelligence strategy, which is built on a philosophy of data ready for use, automation, visualization using dashboards, and empowering stakeholders to do their own analyses;</li><li>Contribute to bank-wide projects for which credit risk input is required, such as risk based pricing, CRWA / capital optimization, and regulatory on-sites and requests;</li><li>Foster a culture of risk awareness with our first line, by being on top of the most recent regulatory developments, explaining the impact and advising on remediating actions to our stakeholders;</li><li>Work according to ING’s agile Way of Working, i.e. you work together with your squad members to deliver on the purpose and ambitions of your squad.</li></ul><p><b>Additionally, you should have</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Credit Risk function, e.g. in policies, portfolio monitoring and analysis, or modelling;</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, supported by expert knowledge of BI tooling like SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Base, Power BI, or similar;</li><li>Experience in credit risk monitoring and analyses, an innovative mindset, and an unconditional drive to turn ideas into reality;</li><li>Drive to constantly develop yourself professionally and passion about Credit Risk related topics;</li><li>Proven record of driving and implementing change, illustrating program and process management skills, with regular interaction with senior stakeholders and/or regulators;</li><li>Great team player skills;</li><li>And of course, you should be fluent in English and/or Dutch.</li></ul><p>Furthermore, you should adhere to the ING values and it is evident for you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values.
