We are currently hiring an Area Manager to oversee our McMinnville Healthy Kids Program within the state of Tennessee consisting of Before/After School Programs and Summer Programs. Driving on your successful experience and high standards, this candidate will foster creating and maintaining a loving and nurturing learning environment for children while overseeing business administration, marketing, and the financial and enrollment operations.

Rate: Starting $22.00/hour

STATUS: Part time, non-exempt

DIRECT REPORTS: Program Site Staff


JOB CONSISTS OF:

  • Manage all aspects of the School Age with a special focus on:
  1. Assist with recruiting, supervising, professionally developing and training a highly qualified staff to deliver a consistent, high-quality program in all sites.
  2. Managing an operation that follows state regulations, and camp permits (if applicable to the state).
  3. Operating excellent programs that:
    1. Follow Healthy Kids Best Practices and Curriculum that serve as the foundation for Healthy Kids “Consistent Excellence” Philosophy.
    2. Feature superior classroom management skills and excellent parent, staff, and host site communication.
    3. Feature a warm, nurturing, positive, safe environment.
    4. Prevent problems with proactive management and handle those that happen in an effective, positive manner that emphasizes good communication.
  4. Leading in a positive, upbeat, yet confident style with an emphasis on effective communication and addressing issues head on.
  • Hire, train, supervise, professionally develop and support Multi-Site and Site directors (and site staff as needed) who focus on staffing issues.
  • Train, supervise, professionally develop, support and help hire site leaders and staff to deliver excellent programs.
  • Ability to successfully manage up to 10 plus sites.
  • Assist in overseeing that corrective action plans are completed and timely.
  • Train, coach, mentor and develop staff.
  • Frequently visit each site.
  • Assist with onboarding of new staff.
  • Identify staff skill gaps and are able to identify smart goals.
  • Manage call outs and track attendance.
  • Ability to identify progressive discipline and coach.
  • Complete monthly good news calls/check in meetings with families.
  • Complete program site observations monthly or as needed.
  • Complete check-in with direct reports as needed.
  • Complete and approve supply orders, as necessary and required per direct reports.
  • Oversee that registration requirements are met, per site (profile pages, allergy and medication, children and staff files are in compliance, an effective and consistent substitute plan is in place, children’s rosters are updated and submitted to host school, etc).
  • Ensure actively engaged grassroots marketing weekly, monthly, and as needed.
  • Develop and implement summer camp curriculum.
  • Ability to manage and grow enrollment continuously.
  • Monitor and address performance issues in a timely manner so that personnel understand their areas of improvement and have the chance to bring their skills up to our standards of excellence.
  • Work with Regional Director and/or Executive Director to constantly improve program by communicating issues and working on better ways of operating.
  • Ability to assist with license and complete renewals for programs in state and as required by Regional Director or Executive Director.
  • Keep host school and families informed of any staff changes/updates and children updates.
  • Ensure staff schedules are input weekly.
  • Oversee time off request and follow up timely.
  • Complete and correct daily and weekly payroll reports.
  • Make necessary adjustments to the staff timecard, if needed.
  • Actively recruit and hire new staff by ensuring all needed paperwork is completed timely.
  • Attend and host pitch meetings with school districts.
