Shipping - Packaging

Description

A growing machine shop is seeking an efficient and detail-oriented candidate for Shipping and Packaging of machine parts. 

Job Duties:

· Verify and make accurate counts on outgoing and incoming products.

· Package products to protect during shipment to customers and suppliers.

· Unpack products returning from suppliers for processing.

· Keep inventory of packaging materials and supplies and notify GM for orders.

· Maintain lot trace ability and identity of all products

· Process shipments by picking and pulling order for UPS and FedEx shipment

· Receive incoming shipments and verify counts received with packing slips

· Schedule inbound and outbound truck appointments.

· Maintain extensive shipping/receiving records tracking all movements of product.

· Storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas

· Marking stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment

· Verifies inventory, investigates discrepancies and maintain supplies

Requirements

· 1 to 3 years’ experience in assembly, shipping & receiving.

· Stable work history

· Effective verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet goals

· Must be well organized

· Must be very detail oriented

· Manufacturing experience helpful.
