This is a grant-funded position.
Position Overview:
The Office of Planning and Innovation (OPI) leverages data, evidence, and strong programmatic relationships to help plan, implement, and improve public health services. The Overdose Data 2 Action (OD2A) Public Health Analyst supports the strategic assessment and planning of the Overdose Data 2 Action grant program through data-driven and evidence-based approaches. This position will work with program staff and community stakeholders to develop topic-specific assessments that promote evidence-based approaches for public health programming. Additionally, the position will support program evaluation activities, including developing and monitoring an evaluation plan, setting and tracking performance measures, and regularly reporting program evaluation metrics for the Overdose Data 2 Action grant program.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains evaluation plans, performance measures, and data tracking systems to monitor OD2A: LOCAL grant activities, outputs, and outcomes.
- Analyzes program data and develops reports to monitor and communicate program performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to support robust performance reporting and data collection activities related to the program activities.
- Identifies and implements equitable, evidence-based strategies using data to inform OD2A planning and implementation efforts.
- Develops and delivers presentations to communicate program performance, evaluation findings, and quality improvement recommendations.
- Other duties as assigned including special tasks involved with responding to emergency events.
