SUMMARY

 

The Senior Quality Control Coordinator will, amongst other things, provide support and coordination within the Quality Control Dept to generate, compile, maintain, revise, and transmit to the Customers/Owners the Project specific Quality Data Books (or Final Inspection and Test Record Package) issued by the MPW suppliers. Furthermore, this position is responsible for the management (creation, update, and maintenance) of the project site PMLs.  This position is also responsible for information exchange between Mitsubishi Power and Client/Vendor using document management software or using the customer provided document management system. The Senior Quality Control Coordinator will liaise with and assist all of the personnel within the Quality department in the typical day to day activities required of this position and liaise with, as required, with the Project Engineers for obtaining/soliciting the quality records from the external Mitsubishi Power Entities, such as TGO, SMW, HTC, MEPPI and also carry out general administrative functions for the Quality Control department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide assistance to all Quality Control Groups in relation to Quality Control, customer and vendor document control activities, associated with the Final Quality Record Packages.
  • Generate Document Transmittals and issue/distribute documents and inspection notices for Client review/approval.
  • Be able to stand-in for other quality personnel, when required, to monitor the flow of documents and inspection notices "to and from" different disciplines, highlight areas of concern to immediate supervisor and resolve the issues immediately.
  • Organize document filing and retrieval in accordance with Quality Control procedures.
  • Generate required reports on a defined schedule or as and when required.
  • Be able to assist with, as required, with monitoring and tracking 3rd party inspection invoices, POs and budgets.
  • Be able to assist with the generation of Calibration Certificate Document Packages for all projects.
  • Generate, update/revise and maintain the Project Quality Data Books incorporating the GT, ST, GEN and Aux systems quality records starting from the respective project ITPs. Furthermore, provide the required assistance, as necessary to generate/revise the stand-alone HRSG quality record packages.
  • Help users with any questions related to the use of the document management software.
  • Manage (generate, update and maintain) the project site PMLs identifying all materials and equipment planned for delivery to the project site, updating the database with Detailed Packing Lists, as materials and equipment are released to the respective sites and document, within the same system, with all of the respective PODs
  • Work with the project expediter when imputing DPL information into the PML and discrepancies are identified when the shipping quantities do not match.
  • Support and assist internal and external personnel in training in how to use the PML correctly in locating material items delivered to a project.
  • Work with the expediter to submit the PML to each project site once a week if changes were made to it from the previous week submittal.
  • Work with the SBOM team members to input in the PML approved SBOM’S
  • Input information from DPL’S into the PML when there is no SBOM provided for the project.
  • Help users with converting documents to pdf formats.
  • Inform Supervisor/Management of Project Document submission status.
  • Coordinate the transfer of Quality Control technical documents.
  • Monitor the comments management, Quality Control, and vendor Document Control activities.
  • Improve the visibility of documentation submitted and processed on time in accordance with project schedules.
  • When necessary, assist with tracking and issuing inspection notifications according to project schedules.
  • Ensure document transmittals are acknowledged in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all project correspondence is filed correctly.

  • Apply best practices of industry standards in records and information management and related disciplines to design and implement improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of the Mitsubishi Power Records Management Program.
