ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Business Analyst is focused on bridging business objectives with technical capabilities, ensuring that solutions are both innovative and practical for implementation. This role is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and communicating business and technical requirements, collaborating with various teams to drive the development and implementation of technology solutions aligned with business goals.
Job Functions:
- Implements and manages reports and dashboards leveraging system BI platforms and tools.
- Organizes BI results into clearly defined and required information on key data for business leaders to be successful in managing the business.
- Works closely with stakeholders to gather and interpret business needs, translating them into detailed technical requirements and functional specifications.
- Assists with all support tasks within Corporate IT Operations and Services department around key initiatives needed, including documentation, cost modeling, CMMC compliance and overall governance of information systems.
- Develops comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), system requirements specifications (SRS), data flow diagrams, and technical user stories.
- Acts as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives, timelines, and expectations.
- Leverages data to inform business decisions. Analyze large data sets to extract insights and support decision-making. Provide data-backed recommendations for process improvements.
- Develops and executes test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate that solutions meet specified requirements. Identify and resolve any issues in partnership with the development team.
- Evaluates existing processes, identify areas for optimization, and suggest technology-based solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identifies potential technical risks or issues, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure that solutions are reliable and secure.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 0-3 years as a Business Analyst in a technical environment, preferably working on software development or systems integration projects
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and familiarity with API integration concepts. Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of system functionality and data management. Ability to diagnose problems, suggest solutions, and troubleshoot effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and report on progress to stakeholders
- Business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure) are a plus
