The Manager, Global Marketplace and eCommerce Compliance, Brand Owner Engagement plays an important role in the Seller Compliance Team. This individual is responsible for developing strong partnerships with brand owners and demonstrating Walmart’s commitment to brand protection by implementing monitoring standards that uphold the integrity of Walmart’s brand protection tools. The primary focus of this role is to identify feature and technical gaps in the Brand Portal and drive efforts to improve Brand Portal functionality. The Manager will be tasked with handling escalations from internal stakeholders and external parties. In addition, they will be responsible for communicating and coordinating process changes to risk operations team and other relevant stakeholders.
The position will report to Senior Manager, Brand Compliance and will partner with the Legal, Data Analytics, Marketplace, Risk Operations, Product and Engineering teams.
What you'll do...
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with brand owners and third-party sellers in the US and globally
- Triage support tickets, troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate the implementation of new features with the goal of improving the user experience of the Brand Portal
- Develop and define monitoring standards to mitigate compliance risks associated with IP tools
- Work cross functionally with IP team, risk operations team, legal, product and engineering to address pain points faced by rights owners
- Drive efforts to improve proactive monitoring tools by providing recommendations based on rights owner feedback
What you’ll bring…
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to de-escalate conflict and educate internal stakeholders and external parties on brand protection and Brand Portal
- Ability to provide actionable data insights from Brand Portal metrics and take steps to improve compliance controls in Brand Portal
- Knowledge in intellectual property and common concerns shared by rights owners
Minimum requirements...
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the e-commerce industry
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in intellectual property, risk management, policy enforcement, brand protection or legal operations
