Production Manager

Marley Spoon is bringing delightful, market fresh and easy cooking back to the people. Our chefs create inspiring and mouthwatering recipes every week. You select what you would like to cook and we deliver the recipes and all the ingredients you need. We use technology to re-invent the food supply chain while reducing unethical food waste and directly connecting consumers with quality producers. In order to achieve this, we are solving challenging problems in taste profiling, behavior prediction and real-time logistics.

But in the end it's simple: We started Marley Spoon because we love cooking and we love eating.

Marley Spoon is currently operating in the US, Europe and Australia. To manage our rapid growth, we are looking for operations experts for our Eastern US team - based in Newark, New Jersey.

The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all day to day production in the facility. The goal of the Production Manager is smooth production runs and quality of output.

This role reports to the facility's Head of Production.

This is you:

● Build and develop fulfillment operations, including hiring, leading teams of operations managers, team leads and production associates

●Responsible to run the day-to-day operations, manage the facility from end-to-end and achieve all operational objectives

●Optimizing and streamlining production processes and introducing best practices in manufacturing

●Develop, train and coach team members to enable career progression

●Collaborate with other production teams around the world, develop and share best practices and drive innovation of global processes

●Work with key stakeholders (procurement, operations, logistics and culinary) to ensure seamless end-to-end workflow and constantly strive for operational excellence

●Identify potential to increase efficiency & continuous development of processes and systems

●Live the Marley Spoon values and lead the team through rapid growth

Requirements

● Self-reliant, quality committed and creative in problem solving

● Driven leader of continuous improvement

● Ability to build, lead and motivate large production teams

● Ability to develop and introduce best practices in the production process and constantly streamline operations

● A person who is willing to spend time on the floor and is comfortable working with all levels of employees

● Strong attention to detail and passion for perfection and quality food produtcs

● Lean Manufacturing experience

● 6-10+ years of relevant food / FMCG manufacturing experience

● Bachelors degree with focus on Operations, Supply Chain, Production is an advantage
