Position Specific Description

The Internal Audit department is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst that can identify trends, areas of opportunity and provide recommendations using advanced analytics to support audits, investigations, and consultations. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging data from both internal and external sources to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and provide results in a coherent manner. The ideal candidate will have superior analytical and presentation skills, and a drive for excellence, organization, and continuous improvement. 

 

Job Specific Responsibilities
•    Gather, review, and analyze data to support the internal audit team.
•    Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify and analyze data trends, drawing insights from large datasets.
•    Operationalize data resources and analytics for value-added services.
•    Apply data modeling practices to analyze findings and create suggestions.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
•    Present findings and recommendations to senior management and leadership teams in a clear and concise manner.
•    Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and operational efficiencies, and make recommendations to achieve these goals.
•    Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting.
•    Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
•    Strategize the use of Large Language Model and Generative AI for the IA organization.

 

Desired Qualifications:
•    Experience in business analysis, preferably in a similar role.
•    Strong proficiency in using relational databases like MySQL, NoSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, and experience with SQL or Structured Query Language.
•    Experience with executing report tools such as PowerBI.
•    Experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
•    Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
•    Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
•    Proficient in Python, R
•    Experience in the energy industry or a related field is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
• Experience: 4+ years
