Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Providing Tier II IT Systems support on a wide range of technologies, including VMware vCenter, Horizon View, Site Recovery Manager, SolarWinds, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC), GEMOne, HP SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
Diagnosing and resolving the performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above
Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks
Participating in processes throughout all phases of the ITIL Service Lifecycle, including submitting Change Requests
Performing requirements analysis, requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms listed above
Providing direction and guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers
Investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer’s production IT environment
Willingness to occasionally work after normal duty hours (nights and weekends) to support system maintenance or service outages is required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of systems support and or administration experience. An associate’s degree with 7+ years or a high school diploma with 11+ years of systems support or administration experience can be accepted in lieu of degree
Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II/8140 level certification, ex, Security+
DoD 8570 computing environment certification required within 6 months of hire, ex, MCSA, VCP, or equivalent
Experience with Microsoft Windows Systems. Specifically: Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016/2019 Servers; Microsoft Windows 10; administering Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and workstation and server hardware; administering Microsoft Office 2010/2016; administering DNS, Group Policy, and PKI; administering vSphere, Horizon View, data backup, and antivirus software; basic networking including
