About the role

Senior Sterile Processing Technician in the Surgical Services Unit at Providence Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA.  Positions available are full-time and will work 8-hour Evening Shifts.

Under the general supervision of department supervisor and/or SPD Coordinator in the oversight and operation of the Sterile Processing Department and/or with sterilization services within the OR.  Supervises all clinical and production functions of assigned shift in the SPD department.

Required Qualifications:

  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire Or, 
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire. Or, 
  • National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire. 
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire. 
  • Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Coursework/Training - Training in Sterile Processing. 
  • 3 years - Instrumentation/sterilization experience in an acute hospital.
  • 4 years - Instrumentation/sterilization experience in an ambulatory care setting.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
