Core Handler and Delivery Driver

The primary responsibilities of this role are related to Core Handling. Additionally, the person selected for this position will have Warehouse and Delivery driver responsibilities assigned, as described below.

• Review credited core report
• Confirm correct part numbers for each core
• Confirm core is tagged correctly
• Place cores in assigned bin
• Pull, box, and ship cores to the appropriate M&D location
• Loading and unloading transport trucks using forklift, hydraulic lift, and dolly
• Stock receiving - Verifying parts/part numbers and proper count received
• Inventory stocking – placing parts in the proper warehouse location
• Order pulling product from warehouse for production, sales staff, and customers
• Keeping the warehouse and parts department clean and orderly

The Delivery Driver portion will include, driving company vehicle and/or light trucks, delivering and picking up parts and products, using your phone or maps to locate locations, determining efficient and safe routes, and completing and processing all required documentation accurately and completely. 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Delivery of customers’ orders
• Pickup of various items for location
• Assist in preparing orders for customer delivery as requested by supervisor
• Verify order accuracy prior to leaving location for delivery
• Assist with receiving and stocking inventory as requested by supervisor
• Delivery of parts to internal departments – i.e., Technicians
• Assist in warehouse as requested by supervisor
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Safe and courteous driver while obeying all traffic laws
• Monitors and report vehicle condition and maintenance 
• Respects and speaks courteously to customers and other employees   

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year experience in logistics, warehousing or similar
• Ability to perform math (addition, subtraction, multiplication)
• Ability to exercise judgement and to work independently
• Must demonstrate consistency, accuracy, and follow-through
• Knowledge of cores related to diesel engine parts preferred
• Willingness to be trained and certified to utilize forklift equipment
• Computer literacy with the ability to learn new software programs
• Ability to move, lift, and carry objects up to 50lbs
• Ability to continuously repeat motions
• Clean driving record
• Sound ability to read maps, utilize cell phone, and GPS 
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening
