Key Responsibilities:

Network Architecture & Maintenance: Analyze, maintain, and recommend network architectures, requirements, and infrastructure in lab environments to ensure optimal performance.

Network Analysis: Assess network workload, monitor capacity, and diagnose/resolution of network issues to sustain peak operational efficiency.

Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network performance and capacity, ensuring all systems operate within established parameters.

Backup & Recovery: Develop and recommend network backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and continuity.

System Upgrades & Security: Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems while enforcing rigorous information security/cybersecurity policies.

SOA Support: Advise and support Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) within the software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with network capabilities.

Process Documentation: Document repeatable processes, creating detailed guides for users to ensure consistency and efficiency.

PowerShell Scripting: Leverage proven PowerShell scripting abilities to automate tasks and enhance system functionality.

Technical Proficiency: Utilize advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and maintain an expert level of organization and attention to detail.

Testing Knowledge: Apply knowledge of both automated and manual testing methodologies to ensure the reliability and functionality of network systems.

Network Communication Documentation: Document and implement Ports, Protocols, and Services for network communication across development, test, and production environments.

System Topology: Develop and maintain System Topology and Architecture Diagrams to provide clear, actionable insights into network structures.

Site Surveys: Travel to bases (both CONUS and OCONUS) to perform site surveys, gathering comprehensive network services information for further analysis and implementation.

On-site Testing: Conduct on-site operational testing and evaluation of installed network infrastructure equipment, ensuring compliance with all standards and protocols.
Qualifications:

Technical Expertise: Strong background in network architecture, PowerShell scripting, and cybersecurity principles.

Analytical Skills: Proficiency in acquisition lifecycle technical/analytical systems/software engineering and support.

Travel: Willingness to travel to various locations, both within the continental U.S. (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS), as required.
