Project Lead & Consultant
SAPAbout the role
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
SAP is looking for a Project Lead Consultant. As a Project Lead and Consultant in SAP’s Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DMLT) team, you will lead the delivery of the data migration and transformation workstream in strategic customer projects. You’ll combine hands-on consulting expertise with strong project leadership to ensure smooth execution, alignment, and customer satisfaction throughout all phases of the engagement.
- Lead and manage the DMLT workstream within complex SAP transformation projects — ensuring scope, timeline, quality, and budget are achieved.
- Define, plan, and track all DMLT-related project activities and deliverables across the full lifecycle.
- Act as the main point of contact for all DMLT topics within the customer project and orchestrate collaboration across Solution Architects, Delivery@Scale teams, and regional or global stakeholders.
- Validate project plans, resource needs, and efforts during pre-sales and delivery phases to ensure readiness and feasibility.
- Conduct DMLT internal kick-off meetings, define project charters and RACIs, and align with other project streams and customer leads.
- Drive stakeholder management and ensure clear and consistent communication between SAP, customer, and partner teams.
- Manage DMLT project scope, change requests, and dependencies — ensuring controlled execution and formal customer sign-off at key milestones (Q-Gates).
- Track project progress, consumption, and effort forecast, and provide regular project updates (burn rate, PPC, forecast, risk).
- Manage risk, issue, and escalation processes jointly with Solution Architects (RAID Management).
- Oversee cutover preparation and execution for DMLT scope (in collaboration with the Cutover Manager if applicable).
- Ensure all project documentation is maintained and project closure activities are completed (lessons learned, document archiving, success story).
- Collaborate closely with Delivery@Scale (D@S) managers to coordinate offshore and nearshore resources effectively.
- Actively contribute to improving delivery excellence by sharing learnings, templates, and best practices within DMLT.
