As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for Plan and LBE processes for the P&L and Balance Sheet with emphasis on SG&A expenses and related accounts. Enhance and create analytics to support understanding of planning submissions and help ensure forecast accuracy. Coordinate with US Commercial business stakeholders to prepare SG&A budget forecast, provide meaningful insights, and actuals vs. variance analysis. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.
What You'll Do
- The Senior Financial Analyst will have the responsibility to manage multiple SG&A commercial budgets as well as support the SG&A consolidation process
- Coordination of Plan, LBE, Update in financial planning processes including creation and distribution of templates, instructions and guidelines to US Commercial Budget Owners
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of the financial submissions.
- Involved in month-end close process including preparing journal entries, consolidation, account reconciliations, variance analysis.
- Interpret financial results and recommend options based upon analysis of data and information.
- Responds to ad hoc financial requests from Sr. Manager FP&A and Finance Controller
- Key contributor to the financial planning processes.
- Identify meaningful analytics that can be presented to Financial Leadership to help ensure forecast accuracy and identify areas for potential improvement within the P&L and Balance Sheet w/ emphasis on SG&A expenses.
- Operates with a significant amount of autonomy, works independently, and proactively navigates the finance network to accomplish goals/tasks; but is also interested in working with other finance team members to ensure team success
- Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders as well as finance teams in US Commercial, Global, and Division.
Experience You'll Bring
Required
- 3 years financial analysis experience.
- Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.
