Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategic Finance & Performance Excellence will drive financial performance excellence and develop strategic financial plans that support both short and long-term initiatives of UAMS. This includes identifying opportunities for financial improvement and working with key leaders to achieve results. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will also lead the development and maintenance of the capital plan, long range financial plans, productivity and benchmarking targets, and business planning and analysis. This position will partner with campus leadership to provide the tools and analysis necessary to guide decision making. The Assistant Vice Chancellor reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Chief Finance Officer with a matrixed relationship to the CEO for UAMS Medical Center.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or related field plus ten (10) years of experience in hospital finance leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree (strongly preferred) in accounting,
