The Impact you will have in this role:   The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Software Engineering role specializes in planning, documenting technical requirements, designing, developing, and testing all software systems and applications for the firm. Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve complex business problems.

Your Primary Responsibilities: 

• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in one or more programming languages for the development and support of applications
• Work effectively within different development methodologies (waterfall, agile, etc.)
• Apply code patterns and design techniques to ensure performance requirements are met
• Coordinate with senior team members to implement solutions using secure coding best practices
• Develop and maintains system documentation
• Work closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, analyzing and implementing solutions that solve complex business problems.
• Research new technologies and incorporates in day-to-day work
• Incorporate data security, retention, and recovery issues into application builds
• Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
• Apply foundational development knowledge (object-oriented programming, SQL) to build and maintain applications. 
• Leverage familiarity with AI concepts and AWS solutions to support modern application development. 
• Exposure to SDLC tools such as Jenkins, Jira, and Bitbucket is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

• Strong foundational development knowledge, including object-oriented programming and SQL.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and AWS solutions.
• Understanding of SDLC principles; experience with tools like Jenkins, Jira, and Bitbucket is a plus.
