About the role

Overview

Cotiviti’s Clinical Data Acquisition (CDA) R&D team is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Cloud Solution Architect to join our team. The CDA R&D team implement and operate the business systems used to acquire health data for Cotiviti’s healthcare-related products and services.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and providing hands-on support to System Architects and software delivery teams. You will work within a SAFe Agile framework to ensure the successful implementation of cloud-native enterprise-class solutions that are consistent, reliable, scalable, and evolvable.

 

You will collaborate with system architects, tech leads, site-reliability engineers, senior developers, US and India-based development team members, architects, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead collaboration efforts with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the solution intent aligns with business needs and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide expert coaching and guidance to System Architects and software delivery teams as they implement cloud-native, serverless services.
  • Focus on the broader solution across various technology domains, including AWS, node.js, and Pega.
  • Implement cloud-native event-based, enterprise-class solutions that are secure, reliable, elastically scalable, and evolvable (loosely coupled, highly cohesive).
  • Integrate hybrid cloud services (public cloud, on-premises, 3rd party operated PaaS/APIs, etc.).
  • Architect and implement solutions that leverage cloud-native architectures to maximize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Continuously learn new skills to support Cotiviti’s current and future needs.
  • Delight customers (internal and external) through a focus on delivery excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product owner(s) and other team members to develop software using Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban). Contribute to all phases of the development of lifecycle.
  • Join client calls as needed to provide support and answer any technical questions.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience and deep expertise as a Cloud Solution Architect or similar senior role.
  • A bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree is required; or 6 years with a Master’s degree.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies and architectural best practices.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud-native and serverless services (Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, RDB, etc.), node.js, Pega, and other relevant and/or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or equivalent public cloud provider.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experienced with resiliency and scalability design patterns for Public Cloud deployed solutions.
  • Strong command of Agile software development practices (familiar with SAFe preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Secure coding practices using AWS IAM, Oauth2, JWT, Authentication & Authorization
  • Experience integrating with other APM tools like Dynatrace, NewRelic, or similar.
  • Experience implementing or using CI/CD tools like Bamboo.
  • Experience integrating AWS Cloud services with on-premises applications and services.
  • Experience integrating AWS Cloud Services with Cloud-based Low-Code PaaS platforms like Pega Cloud.
