The Opportunity
Milliman’s Milwaukee-based Property and Casualty practice is one of the leading teams of experts in P&C insurance matters. We advise clients on a wide range of issues – from estimating loss reserves to developing rating plans and evaluating mortgage collateral for government agencies, mortgage lenders, and investors. Our practice welcomes motivated college students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree to be part of our summer actuarial internship program. We offer competitive pay and the opportunity to work on challenging projects with practical on-the-job experience. As a summer intern, you’ll work right alongside Milliman consultants who are leading experts in the property and casualty insurance industry, including those in senior management. You’ll be welcome at professional staff meetings, department meetings, and a variety of practice-wide and intern-specific social events.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with project teams on data analyses, create portions of client deliverables, perform peer review (“checking”), etc.
- Develop professional skills such as communication, task management, and presenting.
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including senior consultants and principals.
- Receive mentorship and actionable feedback to support your career development.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and social events designed for our interns.
- Build strong technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, PowerBI, etc.

What We Are Looking For
Professional Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field, with at least one semester of school remaining.
- At least one actuarial exam passed at the time of application.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Experience with programming or statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, VBA) is a plus.

Location
This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI. Candidates hired into this role must be willing to work onsite in this office full-time during the internship. A housing stipend will be provided. The expected application deadline for this job is October 16, 2026.
