Project Manager - Consumer & Medical products

We are seeking a Project Manager in Carugate, Italy for our CMIT (Consumer, Medical & Information Technologies) division.  You should be passionate about consumer and medical device technologies and be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  This is a pivotal role in managing projects that shape the future of consumer products.

Our laboratories in Carugate specialise in test and inspection for consumer electronics, offering compliance towards EMC, Wireless, Safety, and Interoperability standards.  Industry experience is highly valued, particularly within a technical arena (electronics, aviation, medical, appliance, security, etc.)

Hybrid position. 3 days in Carugate, 2 days remote.

 

• Responsible for managing large and complex projects for customers within a multi-service product compliance organisation, typically across consumer & medical products
• You will be the clients' primary point of contact, so customer engagement and relationship management is key.  You will sell the vision and mission to UL Solutions commercial and technical stakeholders
• Matrix manage technical staff in the laboratory, to ensure testing and reports are progressed in line with agreed schedules
• Partner with commercial stakeholders to understand our client’s future roadmap and product compliance needs
• Facilitate client meetings to ensure that projects are planned and scheduled as per client requirements
• Receive progress updates from internal stakeholders and communicate overview status to key customers across complex project programs

 

• 2-4 years Project Management experience, overseeing sizeable projects with high value
• Knowledge of delivering technical projects or at least a passion for technology
• Proven customer engagement and relationship management experience
• A Project Management qualification such as Prince 2, PMQ (Formerly APMP) or PMI is required
• Preferably from a ‘Product Compliance’ service industry background
• Proficiency in Excel is mandatory
• Advanced English skills is required.
• German Speaker Preferable
