POSTION SUMMARY:   


This position is responsible for providing clinical services to children, caregivers, and families post-removal. This position provides services at locations in the home, office, or community, depending on the needs of the child and family. The position is expected to utilize evidence-based practices. This position is under the direct supervision of the Pasco Case Management Program Director.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Contact caregiver within 24 hours of shelter notification.
  • Conduct home visit within 48 hours, addressing child’s transition and trauma history.
  • Conduct trauma assessment within 48 hours.
  • Provide trauma-focused therapies: TFCBT, CBT, CPP, IMH, Play Therapy.
  • Conduct interviews and assess caregiver willingness for therapy.
  • Educate caregivers on child's needs and comforting methods.
  • Use motivational interviewing within 30 days to assess parent’s motivation.
  • Provide overview of trauma intervention and assess inclusion of biological parent.
  • Facilitate MDT meetings within 30 days and as needed.
  • Coordinate psychiatric assessments for children needing psychotropic medications.
  • Assess parent-child relationships with the Caregiver Child Relationship Scale.
  • Complete documentation within 24 hours of sessions.
  • Participate in staff meetings and multidisciplinary team staffing.
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community agencies.
  • Complete administrative tasks (e.g., insurance verification, intake entry, reporting).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director/Executive Leadership.

Requirements

Minimum master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related human service field required. Preferred 2+ years post-bachelor’s experience directly in human services working with high-risk youth and families. Applicants must be eligible to pursue licensure as a registered intern for CSW/MHC/MFT per the Florida Board of CSW/MHC/MFT standards. Currently, non-restricted license by the Florida Board of CSW/MFT/MHC as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Psychologists, and or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is preferred.
