We are seeking a skilled Automatic Process Tech to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated production equipment and processes to ensure maximum efficiency, uptime, and product quality. This is a hands-on technical position ideal for someone who enjoys working with automation systems, robotics, and process controls. 

 

Job Responsabilities


Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery, including PLCs, sensors, servo drives, robotic systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment. 



Perform preventive maintenance on automatic process lines to minimize downtime. 



Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain consistent quality and output. 



Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues in automated systems. 



Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and new automation projects. 



Document maintenance activities, downtime, and repairs in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). 



Ensure all work complies with safety regulations (OSHA, lockout/tagout, etc.). 



Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.). 



Train operators on proper use and basic troubleshooting of automated equipment. 

Qualifications
Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)




 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



2–5+ years of experience as an Automation Technician, Process Technician, or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment. 



Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.). 



Experience with HMI interfaces, robotics (Fanuc, ABB, etc.), and vision systems is a plus. 



Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. 



Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs. 



High school diploma or GED required; Technical Associate’s degree or trade school certification preferred. 



Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 


 


Experience



Experience in high-speed packaging, blow fill molding, assembly, or pharma manufacturing. 



Basic programming skills (Python, ladder logic, etc.). 



Knowledge of Lean principles and root cause analysis. 



Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 


Physical & Work Requirements 


Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures. 



Flexible schedule including possible overtime and weekends when needed.
