In the Interior Products Evacuation Solutions Supply Chain team within Collins Aerospace, we support the design and development, and production of evacuation slides and life rafts.

This position is for an established and productive professional contributor to carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, with theoretical or advanced knowledge. This role requires the ability to interface with suppliers, evaluate problems, use critical thinking to determine solutions and be able to effectively manage issue resolution and corrective actions. This position may have up to 10% travel and may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do

• Carries out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFQs, supplier relationships and cost accountability for the life cycle of the programs/product.
• Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity.
• Prepares purchase orders and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
• Monitors delivery assurance to ensure early identification of shortages, expediting and managing escalated situations when they occur, engaging suppliers to resolve problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
• Participates in solutions for issues such as sub-process suppliers, quality and technical assistance and identifying root causes that impact on-time delivery and quality.
• Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance to contractual obligations.
• Responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of work area.
• Communicates information about order status, changes, or cancellations, acting as liaison between Supply Chain and other Interior Products functional teams such as Quality, Engineering, Planning and Operations.
• Works autonomously with limited supervision.
• Influences others through explanation of policies, procedures and practices.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience managing suppliers and delivery assurance.
• Demonstrated data analytics capabilities within Excel and critical thinking skills
• SAP Experience or similar ERP
• Understanding of Supply concepts and processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication, both oral and written, to a wide variety of audiences
• Experience in Aerospace
