As a Master Production Scheduler – Production Control you are responsible for management of the Master Production Schedule, ensuring capacity and materials are aligned to achieve on time delivery of products. Reporting to the Planning and Equipment Manager the role will involve day to day co-ordination with the production planning team to manage throughput of production orders, maintaining accurate work order data and ensuring the timely supply of materials and documentation.
As a Master Production Scheduler you will be responsible for:
- Preparation and execution of long-term production planning activities to meet customer requirements.
- Coordinate with planning team, and shop floor to achieve On-time delivery in accordance with customer requirements.
- Lead Master scheduling for Subsea Controls Business.
- Support ITO function with rough-cut capacity planning visibility and labor hour estimates.
- Work with the workshop manager to set and manage quarterly and weekly cell targets to ensure master schedule adherence.
- Proactively work with cross-function teams to resolve issues to maintain schedule.
- Complete Quarterly ETC report and supporting ad-hoc updates from Project teams.
- Planning overview and support of S&OP and production planning.
- Mentor and provide support to MRP and production planners.
- Comply with regulations and policies in environmental, health and safety and quality.
- Facilitate weekly Production Scheduling meeting, and attend project progress meetings, reporting status.
- Monitor and update KPI’s relating to schedule impacts, work order management, on time delivery, and S&OP metrics.
- Develop manufacturing / production schedule to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and proactively set levels of output.
- Identify and react to schedules that do not meet Customer requirements (e.g. short cycled, unplanned, etc.).
- Coordinate efforts with the Workshop leadership and Planning and Equipment Manager to resolve bottlenecks, maintenance, manpower issues, tools, programs, and shop capacity that impact schedules.
- Drive Six Sigma and Lean improvements in production scheduling

Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required. Supply Chain or Project Management degree is preferred
5 years’ experience in a similar role such as Master Production Scheduler is required
3 years’ experience working with an ERP / MRP is required – preferably Oracle
3 years’ experience in production control methods, capacity planning in the manufacturing industry is required
2 years’ experience with scheduling software - MS Project or Primavera P6 is preferred.
Well organized and capable of decision making, prioritizing, and working to agreed schedules.
Must also have a flexible approach to the workload.
Communicate with ease and work with others.
Ability to take the lead and own issues through to completion.
Word, Excel experience (confident with maintaining Microsoft Excel databases).
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across all disciplines using both verbal and written English.
