Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) – Telecom & Connectivity Solutions

<p><i>We are a leading company in the wireless broadband communications industry looking for talented professionals with a winning attitude.</i></p><p><br/><b>Job Description</b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Technical Leadership &amp; Testing Oversight</b></p><ul><li><p>Lead testing activities, including lab setup, internal testing, field validation, debugging, test case planning, conformance, certification and conduct field trials and troubleshooting</p></li><li><p>Act as the technical point of contact and provide pre-sales &amp; post-sales technical support.</p></li><li><p>Oversee full product certification lifecycle, from requirement gathering to final approval.</p></li><li><p>Deliver training sessions, product demonstrations, live demos and ongoing technical guidance to external and internal customers</p></li></ul><p><b>Customer Engagement &amp; Solution Development</b></p><ul><li><p>Translate customer requirements into technical solutions.</p></li><li><p>Interpret and clarify technical needs in line with real-world use cases and industry trends.</p></li><li><p>Influence customer technical teams to adopt WNC’s solutions.</p></li><li><p>Provide insights into product and business development based on field learnings.</p></li></ul><p><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration</b></p><ul><li><p>Work closely with internal engineering, QA, and software development teams.</p></li><li><p>Share field and customer insights to inform engineering decisions and improve product design.</p></li></ul><p><b>Software Development &amp; Customisation (Advantageous)</b></p><ul><li><p>Support development with hands-on programming in languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, and JavaScript.</p></li><li><p>Customise existing codebases to meet customer-specific requirements.</p></li><li><p>Conduct troubleshooting using industry-standard testing and debugging tools.</p></li></ul><p><b>Reporting &amp; Documentation</b></p><ul><li><p>Accurately document test results, programming changes, and certification outcomes.</p></li><li><p>Present technical updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.</p></li><li><p><span>Respond to and</span><span> </span><span>corganisationalontribute</span> to RFIs/RFPs as required.</p></li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred).</p></li><li><p>Minimum 5 years of experience in technical FAE roles or technical account management.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:</p></li><li><ul><li><p>WiFi standards, testing and certification</p></li><li><p>Cellular technology such as 5G and 4G, with some understanding on network topology</p></li><li><p>Deep knowledge of Open-source platforms (e.g., RDK-B, OpenWRT, Prpl)</p></li><li><p>IoT protocols: ZigBee, Thread, Matter</p></li><li><p>Software added value related to AI, IoT, WiFi-sensing and home automation </p></li></ul></li><li><p>Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, Java, JavaScript.</p></li><li><p>RFI/RFP experience is a strong plus.</p></li></ul><p><b>Skills &amp; Competencies</b></p><ul><li><p>Deep technical expertise in WiFi and connectivity solutions.</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.</p></li><li><p>Effective collaborator across multicultural, interdisciplinary teams.</p></li><li><p>Strong project management, organizational skills and leadership.</p></li></ul><p><b>Language Requirements</b></p><ul><li><p><b>German:</b> Native speaker</p></li><li><p><b>English:</b> Fluent C2 (Proficiency)</p></li><li><p><b>Mandarin:</b> Advantageous</p></li><li><p><b>Other EU languages:</b> Advantageous</p></li></ul><p><b>Location &amp; Working Conditions</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Primary Office:</b> Frankfurt, Germany (WNC Office)</p></li><li><p>Willingness to travel occasionally to support engagements in <b>UK, Europe and Taiwan</b></p></li></ul><p><br/><b>Education</b></p><p><br/><b>Work Experience</b></p><p><br/><b>Language</b></p><p><br/><b>Skills</b></p>
