About the role

Description

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is searching for an experienced English language instructor to teach a section of the Academic Writing course in Fall 2025, with the possibility to continue teaching the same course in Spring 2026.

As the instructor of record for this course, responsibilities include:

  • 150 minutes of class meeting time per week with a maximum class size of 15 students
  • Providing detailed and timely feedback on student writing assignments
  • Conducting weekly office hours and periodically scheduling one-on-one feedback sessions with students
  • Lesson planning in consultation with the EAP coordinator and Academic Writing syllabus

Qualifications

Any relevant experience in English language teaching will be considered, however, the ideal candidate will have TESOL experience at the university level (graduate and/or undergraduate students). Preference for applicants with experience working with the Academic English register in high-proficiency learners.

A Master's degree or higher in a relevant field is required for this position.
