What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare for Success: Set up and configure punch press machines according to detailed work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications, ensuring optimal machine settings and alignment.
- Operate with Precision: Run punching machines to create high-precision parts from sheet metal, following project requirements for size, shape, and finish.
- Monitor Operations: Keep an eye on machine performance, adjusting settings like pressure and speed to ensure flawless production and quality control.
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Quickly address any mechanical or operational issues to keep the machines running smoothly, minimizing downtime and disruptions to the production schedule.
- Ensure Quality: Inspect finished parts with precision measuring tools to ensure every part meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications.
- Work Collaboratively: Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure production goals are met and processes are optimized.
- Prioritize Safety and Cleanliness: Follow strict safety protocols, wear the required protective gear, and maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure every part is created with precision.
- Mechanical Understanding: Solid knowledge of machinery operation and the ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance on punching machines.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for long periods and handling materials of varying weights while maintaining consistent quality.
- Problem-Solver: Quick-thinking individual who can identify issues and solve them on the spot to keep production running smoothly.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively to meet production goals and maintain safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification in machine operation or manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience with punch presses, CNC machines, or sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
