Manager, Regional Security Operations

Capital One is seeking an experienced Security Manager to join the Retail Security Operations (RSO) team with the Global Workplace Services(GWS) organization. The Security Manager serves as the primary point of contact between GWS and Capital One's retail lines of business (LOBs) providing strategic consultation and solutions that mitigate physical and safety risks on local, regional and enterprise levels. The Security Manager will perform vulnerability assessments that ensure Capital One retail locations are compliant with corporate standards, industry requirements and regulations governing physical security and ensuring the safety and security of associates, contractors and customers. The Security Manager will partner with multiple both internal and external stakeholders, creating robust relationships to deliver best in class safety and physical security controls. The Security Manager will create proactive plans to engage and establish senior management support for safety and security initiatives that support the business model and maintain business continuity. The Security Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and executing assurance reviews of existing and emerging programs on a regional and enterprise basis. The Security Manager will design, develop and execute tests and programs to assess compliance with security-related policies, procedures and regulations. The Security Manager will attend meetings at all levels and clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in an organized manner. The Security Manager will be responsible for deployment and oversight of contracted guard resources within the assigned Area of Responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Provide security consulting for incidents involving GWS customers in a regional area of responsibility
Perform vulnerability/risk assessments that ensure locations are compliant with corporate standards, requirements and regulations
Forge relationships with internal colleagues and external partners on all safety and security-related programs
Effectively communicate and influence associates and contractors across the organization to implement and support safety and security programs
Responsible for planning, organizing and executing quality assurance programs to ensure the safety of Capital One associates, contractors, customers and assets
Review and analyze data to assess and determine security and safety trends while developing and deploying risk mitigation strategies
Manage escalated and crisis situations with calm resolve and well managed counsel
Build and maintain partnerships with law enforcement, subject matter experts and relevant industry professionals
You Should have:
Experience managing proprietary and contract staff across diverse regional environments
Experience with a fortune 500 company’s safety and security programs with regional responsibilities or significant law enforcement/military experience
Experience adapting, designing and implementing security controls in adherence with established requirements
Experience partnering with internal and external clients to further organizational safety and security objectives
Experience with enterprise wide integrated security systems, CCTV and incident reporting systems
Proven ability to timely execute on deliverables, provide superior customer service and have impeccable integrity and professionalism
Ability to develop, manage and influence relationships with local, state, federal law enforcement, emergency management officials and organizations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in private sector security, military, law enforcement, or any combination of the three
At least 5 years of experience with physical security, crisis management, and incident management
At least 5 years of experience in people management
At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining relations with internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
At least 5 years of experience managing a regional or enterprise contract security staff
At least 7 years of experience in project or program management
At least 7 years of experience in multi-site physical security operations, threat-management, or crisis/incident management
